Job summary

Carilion Medical Center in Roanoke, Virginia, is seeking a Cath Lab Tech - CVT to join a Level 1 Trauma Center. The role requires ARRT/RCIS/RCES or RCIS/RCS certification with program training to advance through the clinical ladder.

A sign-on bonus up to $30,000 and relocation assistance are available. The Cath Lab performs high-volume PCI and complex procedures with advanced equipment and a dedicated team of CVTs and CVT RNs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Allied Health Profession School (RTR, RT).
• Cardiac Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology or Electrophysiology experience preferred.
• Current licensure: RCIS/RCES or RT(R)/RRT/CRT as applicable.
• Basic Life Support: AHAs BLS-HCP required; ACLS within six months of hire.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills; orientation and competency validation required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient and advanced equipment for invasive procedures.
• Scrub and assist physician during procedures; plan with physicians on procedural strategies and supplies.
• Operate X-ray equipment and manage medications under licensed physician supervision.
• Monitor EKG and hemodynamics; document data for procedures and research.
• Contribute to service line outcomes and participate in performance improvement activities.
