Job summary

AdventHealth in Denver, CO seeks a StaffFlex Cath Lab Tech to join the Cardiovascular Interventional Laboratory team. This PRN, day-shift role supports diagnostic and interventional procedures and requires scrubbing, circulating or monitoring per policy.

You’ll work with nurses and physicians to ensure safe, efficient patient care; the position offers flexible contracts, system-wide opportunities, and potential pathway to permanent staff.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree is required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Field of Study includes Cardiovascular Technology, EMS, Radiologic Technology or Respiratory Therapy.
• 2+ years of work experience in a cardiovascular lab is required.
• Licenses: BLS, ACLS and RT/RCIS/RCES/RCES/Paramaedic credentials as applicable.

The Role You’ll Contribute

The Cardiovascular Interventional Laboratory Specialist (CILS) performs a wide range of technical skills utilized during a variety of cardiovascular, non‑ablation electrophysiology or interventional radiology procedures to provide an efficient, comfortable, and safe examination of all patients. The CILS is proficient in two of the three standard roles of scrub, circulate and monitor consistent with the policies, procedures and processes of the Cardiovascular Services department and Hospital Administration.

• Proficiently performs diagnostic coronary procedures, diagnostic electrophysiology procedures, interventional radiology procedures, peripheral diagnostic and/or interventional procedures.
• Performs effectively in two of the three procedural roles (circulate, monitor, scrub) required in a therapeutic cardiac laboratory team based on the Society of Invasive Cardiovascular Professionals scope of practice. Takes call as rotated/assigned and responds (in hospital) per policy.
• May perform waived and/or non‑waived point of care testing. If performing non‑waived point of care testing, as defined by the state and the facility, must have approved competency and documented proof at the time of the facility non‑waived point of care training.
• Produces an accurately written, promptly completed medical record for each patient based on the scope and complexity of the intervention procedure and patient clinical conditions.
