Job summary

AdventHealth in Denver, Colorado is seeking a Cardiovascular Interventional Laboratory Specialist I (CILS I) for day shifts on a PRN basis. The role covers diagnostic and interventional procedures and requires competence in two core perioperative roles.

A minimum of 2 years in a cardiovascular lab is expected. Associate's degree in Cardiovascular Technology is required, Bachelor's preferred, and licensure includes BLS, ACLS, RCIS/RCES and RT credentials.

The role you’ll contribute: The Cardiovascular Interventional Laboratory Specialist (CILS) I perform a wide range of technical skills, which are utilized during a variety of Cardiovascular, Non-ablation Electrophysiology or Interventional Radiology procedures to provide an efficient, comfortable, and safe examination of all patients. The CILS I is proficient in two out of the three standard roles of scrub, circulate and monitor consistent with the policies, procedures and processes of the Cardiovascular Services department and Hospital Administration

• Proficiently performs diagnostic coronary procedures, diagnostic electrophysiology procedures, interventional radiology procedures, peripheral diagnostic and/or interventional procedures.
• Performs effectively in two of the three procedural roles (circulate, monitor, scrub) required in a therapeutic cardiac laboratory team based on the Society of Invasive Cardiovascular Professionals Scope of Practice.
• Takes call as rotated/assigned and responds (in hospital) per policy.
• May perform waived and/or non-waived Point of Care Testing.
• If performing non-waived Point of Care Testing, as defined by the state and the facility, must have approved competency and documented proof (copy of either diploma or transcript, at the highest level of academic achievement) at the time of the facility non-waived Point of Care training.
• Produce an accurately written, promptly completed medical record for each patient based on the scope and complexity of the intervention procedure and patient clinical conditions.
