Job summary

Norman Regional Health System in Norman, OK seeks a Cardiovascular Technologist to support its cardiac cath lab program. The role prepares equipment, assists during procedures, maintains sterile technique, and collaborates with physicians, radiology staff, and leadership to ensure quality patient care.

The position requires 1 year of Cath lab experience; RCIS certification is preferred, BLS is required, ACLS within 6 months, and a surgical technician program is the stated education background.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• ACLS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire
• Current BLS maintained throughout employment

Responsibilities

• Prepares equipment before and during procedures
• Identifies and assesses patient condition; prepares and positions patient
• Maintains sterile environment
• Serves as preceptor for new hires and radiology students
• Stocking rooms and checking equipment during downtime
• Maintains professional relationships with physicians and leadership

Education

Completion of a surgical technician program.

Departmental Overview

We have an innovative cardiovascular program and we are looking for caring knowledgeable Cardiovascular Technologist to add to our team. We have 16 Cath Lab Same Day Surgery rooms and five Cardiac Cath Lab procedure rooms and two treatment rooms. We work with 10 Cardiologist and seven of which are interventionist and one electrophysiologist.

Compensation / Benefits

• $22.87-37.37/hr based on previous work experience.


• Evening differential $2.00/hr.


• Night differential $2.50/hr.


• Weekend differential $2.50/hr.

Job Summary

• Prepares equipment before and during procedures

Qualifications

• All requirements for Tier II met.

Education

• Completion of a surgical technician program.


• RCIS certification preferred

Experience

• 1 year of Cath lab experience

Licensure/Certification/Registration/ETC.

• Completion of a surgical technician program.


• RCIS certification preferred.


• Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.


• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.


• ACLS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained through duration of employment.

Schedule

0600-1830. 3 12 hr days.1 day call/week. 1 weekend call every 3-4 weekends
