Job summary

Qualifications

• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Current California RN license; BLS/Healthcare Provider status required.
• Twelve (12) or more months of service as a registered nurse in an acute care setting; pharmacology and EKG test may be required.

Responsibilities

• Completes nursing assessment of patient, and documents appropriately into patient record.
• Develops a plan of care based upon assessment and patient needs.
• Collaborates with physicians and health team members in developing a plan of care.
• Provides, delegates, and coordinates the plan of care.
• Initiates, manages, and participates in discharge planning.
• Initiates, manages, and participates in patient/family teaching.
• Demonstrates implementation skills per Policies and Procedures.
• Evaluates patient response to plan of care.
• Maintains professional standards by participation in in-services and performance improvement activities.
