Job summary

Conemaugh Nason Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cath Lab. This full-time, daylight position generally involves 5×8-hour shifts, with potential shifts extending to 10 hours. The on-call schedule requires a 30-minute response time, with a one-week-on, one-week-off rotation.

Qualifications

• Applicants should be graduates of an RN program and hold a current nurse's license in Pennsylvania or a current multistate license (MSL).
• Associate's degree is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Two years nursing experience in acute cardiac care.
• Critical care course.
• BLS Certification.
• ACLS Certification or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient assessment, education, intervention, documentation and management of patients in the Cath Lab.
• Acts as a resource for technicians, secretaries, and other staff.
• Assumes responsibility as team leader as assigned for patient management and coordination of patient flow.
• Performs the role of circulator or monitor during Cath procedures and cross-trains to scrub assistant.
