Qualifications

Current nursing license to practice in Louisiana as defined by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
Current ACLS certification.
Current PALS certification.
Preferred: BSN.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate care touchpoints for patients, prioritizing and delegating as needed.
Explain procedures to patients and family as appropriate.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team and physicians to ensure quality care.
Maintain a safe environment and monitor patient conditions and concerns.
Ensure Joint Commission infection control and environment of care standards.
Advise supervisor if unable to complete tasks promptly, effectively, or safely.
Initiate patient and family education using appropriate resources.
Contribute to the team by assisting others as needed.
