Job summary

MemorialCare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cardiovascular Laboratory in Fountain Valley. This is a full-time, dayshift position within Special Procedures. The Cardiovascular Lab RN coordinates nursing care, mentors staff, and ensures quality patient outcomes.

The role requires a California RN license, a bachelor's degree in nursing or higher preferred, and BLS/ACLS certifications; prior CCU/ED or CV lab experience is preferred. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Two years Critical Care or ED Nursing experience.
• Two years Cardiovascular Laboratory experience preferred or strong related education/background.
• Computer, internet, order entry and word processing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process and practice standards as a framework for patient care.
• Analyzes assessment data to determine a nursing diagnosis and interventions.
• Demonstrates leadership in coordinating patient care across the healthcare continuum.
• Delegates to licensed and unlicensed personnel.
• Utilizes strong critical thinking skills in clinical situations.
• Prioritizes essential functions and patient needs.
• Documents clinical data in the patient information system accurately.
• Collaborates with other disciplines to ensure safe patient care.
• Teaches patients and families and evaluates learning outcomes.
• Mentors new staff and upholds patient privacy and confidentiality.
