Job summary

MemorialCare is seeking an RN for the Cardiac Recovery department in Laguna Hills, CA. This per diem, day shift role provides acute cardiovascular patient care from admission to discharge and involves supervising unlicensed staff, conducting assessments, and implementing plans of care.

You will document physician orders, perform post-procedure observations, and engage in patient/family teaching while ensuring safe, evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license and BLS/ACLS credentials required.
• Cardiac or critical care experience preferred.
• BSN preferred; specialty certifications encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide acute cardiovascular patient care from admission to discharge.
• Supervise unlicensed staff and perform patient assessments.
• Develop and implement care plans; teach patients and families.
• Document physician orders and deliver nursing care per protocol.
• Coordinate post-procedure observation and non-invasive interventions.

The RN, Clinical II is responsible for providing acute cardiovascular specialized patient care in a safe and effective manner from admission to discharge or inpatient transfer. In addition, this position is responsible for directing unlicensed staff, conducting patient assessments, executing and developing plan of care, communicating post-procedure observation, non-invasive procedure interventions, patient/family teaching, and implementation of treatment plan. Lastly, this position is responsible for executing and documenting physician orders and providing nursing care.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but no limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. Experience

• 1 Year of Cath Lab, Vascular Lab and / or EP Lab experience preferred
• 2 Years of Critical Care / ICU experience preferred
• Experience with Electronic Medical Record System such as EPIC

Education

• Current California Registered Nursing (RN) License
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Card (BLS)
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support Care (ACLS)
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Specialty Certification preferred
