Job summary

Mercy is seeking an experienced registered nurse for the Cardiac Cath Lab. The role involves delivering patient-centered care using the nursing process, coordinating with other departments, and upholding patient rights and confidentiality.

The position requires lifting up to 50 pounds, standing and walking during procedures, and wearing lead protection as needed. Qualifications include graduation from an accredited RN program and an active RN license (state or compact).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
• Active RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Position requires lifting 50 pounds regularly.
• Prolonged standing and walking during shifts and procedures.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist and squat while performing duties.
• Must wear lead protection for extended periods.
• BLS certification within 30 days; ACLS required for Cath Lab role or within department timeframe.
• ACLS/other certifications as required by unit.
• Strong acute care experience and willingness to train preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
