Job summary

Alaska Regional Hospital, part of the HCA Healthcare network, is seeking a Cath Lab RN PRN to support invasive cardiac and vascular procedures in Anchorage. You will assist with arterial access, device therapies, and post-procedural care within a collaborative cath lab team.

Our team emphasizes safety, accurate documentation, and patient-focused care. Ideal candidates hold an active nursing license, 2–3 years’ cath lab experience, and BLS/ACLS certifications, with ER/ICU experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current nursing license in good standing.
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Two to three years Cath Lab experience required; ER/ICU experience preferred.
• BLS/ACLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and therapeutics in the Cath Lab (cardiac cath, interventions, EP, neuro/interventions, endovascular and structural Heart procedures).
• Facilitate interdisciplinary communication and SBAR hand-offs.
• Assist patients through all procedural steps including transport, site prep, sterile technique, monitoring and post-procedure hemostasis.
• Maintain accurate patient records and paperwork for physician interpretation.
• Demonstrate flexibility and ability to function under stressful situations.
• Collaborate with team and orient staff as needed.
