Job summary

Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage, AK, is seeking a skilled Cath Lab Nurse to support invasive cardiac, vascular and interventional procedures. You will demonstrate clinical judgment, teaching ability, and a commitment to high-quality patient care within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Current nursing license in good standing
• Associate’s Degree in nursing required, bachelor’s preferred
• Two to three years of Cath Lab experience required. ER/ICU experience preferred.
• BLS or BCLS certification required
• ACLS certification required or preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and therapeutics in the Cath Lab, including cardiac catheterizations, interventions, EP devices, ablation, interventional radiology, neuro diagnostics, endovascular and structural Heart procedures.
• Facilitate effective communication among staff using SBAR hand-off.
• Assist patients through all procedural phases: transport, site prep, sterile technique, monitoring, hemostasis, and post-procedure recovery.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient records; prepare tests for physician interpretation.
• Adapt to high-stress situations; stay organized and flexible.
• Collaborate with team members and orient new staff as needed.
