Job summary

Arkansas Heart Hospital is seeking an RN-Critical/Paramedic to lead the interdisciplinary care team for patients with cardiovascular disease. The role includes administering medications, coordinating care, and performing Point-of-Care procedures within a catheterization laboratory setting.

Required are AR RN licensure, BLS and ACLS within orientation, plus RCIS or RCIS-ready status within specified timelines. PALS/ENPC within one year for ED RNs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse with current state licensure or licensure from a Nursing Compact state.
• BLS certification within 30 days of employment and prior to direct patient care.
• ACLS certification required by completion of clinical orientation.
• PALS or ENPC certification required within one year for all Emergency Department RNs.
• RCIS certification required within two years of eligibility; limited specialty license within six months for RCIS holders.

Responsibilities

• Document findings and communicate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide competent direct care and maintain a safe, comforting environment.
• Educate patients and families; assess readiness to learn.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and standard precautions.
• Administer medications and treatments per policy and population parameters.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary response to emergencies.
• Perform Point-of-Care procedures per policy and QC standards.
• Maintain department and equipment readiness in Cath/EP Lab.
