Job summary

Kootenai Health in Idaho is seeking a Cath Lab RN to evaluate, plan, implement, and document nursing care for Cath lab patients. The role requires on-call duties after hours, with rapid hospital arrival within 30 minutes as needed, and collaboration across departments to ensure safe patient care.

Ideal candidates hold a BSN, have 3+ years of patient-facing RN experience, and possess ACLS/BLS certifications. Idaho RN licensure is required or supported by temporary licensure as applicable.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Licensed RN with a minimum of 3 years’ patient-facing RN experience at time of hire.
• ADN or diploma required; BSN or higher preferred.
• State of Idaho RN license or licensure pending as documented by temporary licensure or multi-state license.
• Cath lab, critical care, or emergency room experience required; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Competency in procedural sedation, cardiac medication administration, and cardiac monitoring.
• Ability to report changes in patient status to physicians for emergent needs.
• BLS required; ACLS required.

Responsibilities

• Interact professionally with multiple departments to ensure safe patient care.
• Demonstrate a high degree of creativity, latitude, and critical thinking.
• Be on-call regularly for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Arrive at the hospital within 30 minutes of a call when required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned and maintain attendance.
