Job summary

Woodland Heights Medical Center in East Texas is seeking a Cath Lab RN to join our patient-centered care team. You’ll deliver high-quality care during catheterization procedures, coordinate with physicians and nurses, and ensure safety and compassionate support for patients and families.

The role emphasizes patient assessment, medication administration, and collaboration with the cardiovascular team to achieve optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required.
• RN license in the state or a compact license is required.
• ACLS and PALS are preferred/per facility guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with nursing policies and procedures.
• Performs thorough patient assessments and documents findings.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within the documented competency.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized care plans.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in CPR/code team activities.
• Educates patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
• Maintains infection control and safety standards.
• Documents patient care promptly in the medical record.
