Job summary

Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, AZ is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab role. The RN will scrub, circulate and monitor during interventional procedures, assist with sedation under physician direction, and ensure patient safety from pre-procedure through recovery.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in Cath Lab or critical care, an active RN license with BLS/ACLS on file, and resides within 30 minutes of the facility.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current RN license in state of practice with required certifications (BLS).
• Minimum 2 years Cath Lab experience or experience in other critical care areas.
• ACLS certification is required and should be on file with the application.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and document nursing care for cardiac cath lab patients.
• Scrub, circulate, monitor patient status during procedures and provide post-procedure care.
• Coordinate care with physicians and other health care team members; ensure patient safety.
• Document interventions accurately and communicate progress to team and family.
• Promote evidence-based nursing practice and participate in education and mentoring within the unit.
