Job summary

Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege, Nebraska, seeks a Cath Lab Registered Nurse to support patient care in the cardiac catheterization lab. The RN will identify patient needs, execute care per department protocols and provider orders, and evaluate the patient’s response to treatment.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree (B.S.N.), Associates degree (A.D.N.) or Diploma from an accredited college of nursing.
• Current Nebraska RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• One year of experience in an interventional cardiac cath lab.

Responsibilities

• Initiates assessment based on patient needs and documents findings.
• Collaborates with care providers for initial and ongoing patient assessments.
• Performs therapeutic nursing interventions as ordered by physician and standards of care.
• Assists with cardiovascular procedures under physician instruction.
• administers medications per orders and procedures.
• Schedules and coordinates outpatient/inpatient testing procedures.
• Performs discharge planning and patient teaching.
