Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking a Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures in the ASC setting.

The RN will work through pre-, intra-, and post-procedure phases, ensuring compliance with CMS ASC Conditions for Coverage, infection control, and patient safety standards. Requirements include an active PA or multi-state RN license, 1–2 years of cath lab or critical care experience, BLS and

Qualifications

• Active RN license PA or multi-state required.
• 1–2 years cath lab or critical care experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Moderate sedation training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Procedure: complete nursing assessment (cardiac history, meds reconciliation, allergy/contrast risk); obtain consent; start IV; site prep; verify NPO; educate patient/family.
• Intra-Procedure: monitor during diagnostic catheterizations, PCI, peripheral angiography; follow CMS PA regs; monitor hemodynamics/rhythm/SpO2/BP; assist with sterile tech; document events; respond to emergencies.
• Post-Procedure: recover in PACU, assess access site, monitor distal pulses; manage sheath and radial band; provide discharge education and ensure ASC discharge criteria.
