Job summary

Openwork Health is seeking a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Registered Nurse (Cath Lab RN) in San Antonio, TX. You will support diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, collaborate with physicians and technologists, and ensure patient safety and clinical excellence throughout pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care.

This role includes onboarding and ongoing professional development, access to comprehensive benefits, and the use of advanced cardiac technologies.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license.
• Experience in Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory or similar acute care setting preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in Cath Lab.
• Prepare patients for catheterization, angioplasty, electrophysiology studies, and related procedures.
• Monitor vital signs before, during, and after procedures.
• Administer medications and IV fluids as directed.
• Assist physicians and technologists, maintaining sterile technique and patient safety.
• Document nursing actions and patient responses accurately.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery, and follow-up.
