Job summary

Executes safe nursing practice in the care of the patient requiring cardiac procedures in the Cath lab. Is accountable for direct care of the adult and geriatric patients undergoing diagnostic and invasive procedures in the cardiac Cath lab.

Can float to Cardiology Pre/post if necessary and would be accountable for direct pre and post procedure nursing care of the adult and geriatric patients. Minimum qualifications include an LA RN license and current BLS/ALS certifications; CCRN or CVRN

Qualifications

• Current LA RN License required; BLS and ALS certifications through ILCOR courses with manikin check off.
• CCRN or CVRN preferred.
• 1 year cardiac cath lab, critical care, or emergency room experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Executes safe nursing practice in the care of patients undergoing cardiac procedures in the Cath lab. Accounts for direct care of adult and geriatric patients; can float to Cardiology Pre/Post as needed.
• Responsible for direct pre and post procedure nursing care; may rotate call and be within 30 minutes of hospital.
