Job summary

Fairview Health Services in Edina, MN is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cath Lab at Southdale Hospital. The role involves caring for adult patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures, with emphasis on teamwork and patient-centered care.

You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, participate in on-call shifts, and collaborate with the health care team to ensure safe procedures and positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3 years of RN critical care or 1 year cath lab experience
• Minnesota RN License
• BLS for healthcare providers
• ACLS (required upon hire)
• Must be able to respond to the hospital within 30 minutes of receiving a page or stay within this range when on-call

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes
• Collaborates with patient, family and other health team members to develop a nursing plan as part of an integrated, comprehensive plan of care
• Develops an individualized plan based on age, social and cultural considerations, condition and other relevant needs
• Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes
• Collaborates and communicates effectively and respectfully with the patient, family and members of the health care team within and across care settings to promote partnership-based health care
• Demonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes
• Promotes a culture of evidence based practice (EBP)
