Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas seeks a Cardiovascular Nurse to provide safe, patient-centered care in the Cardiac Cath Lab across pre-, intra-, and post-procedure phases. The role requires thorough pre- and post-procedure assessments, meticulous documentation, and seamless coordination with physicians and staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

A Texas RN license, BLS, ACLS, EKG certifications, and competency in moderate sedation are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• 2–4 years related nursing experience.
• Current Texas RN license.
• Active BLS/ACLS/EKG certifications.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes a systematic approach to provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care with comprehensive assessments and care planning.
• Manages patient logs, charge requisitions and required pre/post-procedure documentation.
• Manages immediate post-procedure patient care and coordinates with the care team for continuity.
• Assists physicians in Cardiac Cath Lab examinations within RN scope of practice.
• Communicates effectively with Medical Staff and health care team to promote outcomes.
• Maintains patient rights, consent, confidentiality, privacy and safety; participates in a rotation call system.
