Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist to provide quality diagnostic imaging across clinic, hospital, ED and OR settings. This role emphasizes precision and safe imaging to support accurate radiologist diagnoses, with opportunities to advance into CT, MRI, and Mammo.

The position requires ARRT eligibility/registration, ND/SD/IA licensing where applicable, BLS certification, and reliable EMR navigation.

Qualifications

• Completion of an educational program accepted by the ARRT is required.
• Working knowledge of diagnostic radiographic principles, including positioning, film/image processing, quality control, and radiation protection is required.
• Registration with the ARRT is required.
• ND licensure with the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board (NDMIRT) is required if working in North Dakota.
• In South Dakota, ARRT certification must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• In Iowa, a permit to practice through the Iowa Department of Public Health may be required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment and recertification as necessary is required.
• Driver's license may be required, dependent upon department.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging examinations on patients ensuring the production of quality diagnostic images.
• Ensures accurate patient positioning during radiographic procedures according to provider requests.
• Implements radiation safety guidelines and conducts proper radiation protection practices during the imaging process.
• Ability to understand and navigate the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Perform basic diagnostic radiology tasks and be aware of general radiology protocols.
• Perform mobile imaging, EKG, cardiac monitor placement, and DEXA procedures
