Job summary

Sanford Health's Radiology department in Bismarck, ND is hiring a Radiology Technologist to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging across clinic, hospital, ED, and OR settings. You will work with physicians to ensure precise patient positioning and optimal image quality, with opportunities to advance into CT, MRI, and Mammo.

Ideal candidates hold ARRT certification, a recognized training program, and ND licensure; BLS within six weeks is required, with occasional CNAs and driving may be needed

Qualifications

• Completion of an educational program accepted by ARRT is required.
• Working knowledge of diagnostic radiographic principles, including radiographic positioning, film/image processing, quality control, and radiation protection is required.
• Registration with ARRT is required.
• ND licensure is required if practicing in ND.
• If working in SD, ARRT certification within 60 days of hire.
• In IA, a permit to practice through the Iowa Department of Public Health is required.
• CNA certification may be required within the first eight weeks in some clinics.
• BLS certification within six weeks of employment and recertification as necessary is required.
• Driver's license may be required depending on department.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging examinations on patients ensuring the production of quality diagnostic images
• Ensures accurate patient positioning during radiographic procedures according to provider requests
• Implements radiation safety guidelines and conducts proper radiation protection practices during the imaging process
• Ability to understand and navigate the electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Perform basic diagnostic radiology tasks and be aware of general radiology protocols
• Perform mobile imaging, EKG, cardiac monitor placement, and DEXA procedures
