Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for the Cath Lab at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital. This 40-hour-per-week role requires on-call duties with a 30-minute response time and experience in Cath/EP or IR procedures.

Responsibilities include patient imaging support, radiation safety, QA, and collaboration with the interventional team to ensure high-quality care. IL-licensed RT with two-year radiology degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RT licensure in State of IL and current AART.
• 2-year Associate Degree from Accredited School of Radiology.
• BLS and ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides scrub support during diagnostic and interventional procedures; anticipates provider needs.
• Competent in all roles for Cath/EP or IR.
• Operates imaging equipment; serves as a radiation expert resource.
• Communicates clearly with team to ensure quality assurance in imaging, hemodynamics and oximetry.
• Delivers safe patient care within scope of practice; maintains sterile technique.
• Uses safety tools in all patient interactions.
• Advocates for patients; ensures documentation and plan of care.
• Teaches and supports team on radiation safety and QA techniques.
• Assists with supply inventory and acts as technical resource.
