Job summary

Huntsville Memorial Hospital is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist to assist in procedures, prep patients, review charts and monitor patients after procedures. The role emphasizes collaboration with the heart and vascular team to deliver high-quality patient care in a hospital setting.

Graduate of a vocational nursing or radiologic technology program is required; BLS and ACLS certifications will be required within defined timelines. This is a full-time, on-site position in Huntsville, AL.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of vocational nursing or a medical radiologic technology program.
• Experience: None required. One year of clinical experience in Cardiac and Peripheral Vascular Interventions, Radiology, or related specialty preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current licensure as a Radiology Technologist in the State of Texas. Will consider an LVN with RCIS. Basic Life Support certification within 60 days. Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Cath Lab procedures and prepare patients (IV placement, blood collection, site preparation).
• Review patient charts to ensure consents and appropriate labs are in place.
• Monitor patients post-procedure (site management, vital signs and telemetry monitoring).
• Collaborate with the heart and vascular team and Huntsville Memorial Hospital to integrate goals of the program.
• Provide care based on physical, psychological, educational, safety and related criteria for the patient population.
