Job summary

Methodist Hospitals is seeking a Radiology Technologist to support physicians in angiographic procedures and to provide patient-centered care in a fast-paced Cath Lab environment.

You will operate specialized radiographic equipment, prep patients, assist during procedures, and ensure safety and proper documentation. A Radiology Associates degree plus ARRT radiography registration are required, with ACLS/BLS and cardiovascular certification recommended.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiology required.
• ARRT Radiography Registration is required.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
• Cardiovascular Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and physicians ensuring professional care.
• Operate radiographic equipment for angiographic imaging to obtain optimal image quality.
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and obtain consent.
• Assist physicians with procedures and provide pre/post procedural care.
• Set up sterile trays and prep patients using sterile technique.
• Maintain equipment uptime and follow radiation safety procedures.
• Ensure accurate charging and documentation before/after procedures.
