Job summary

Secaucus University Hospital (Hudson Health System) seeks a Cath Lab Nurse Manager to provide strategic leadership for the Invasive Cardiovascular Department. This role combines clinical expertise, financial oversight, and HR management in a working leadership capacity.

You will oversee daily cath lab operations, ensure patient safety, and drive staff development while coordinating with the Chief of Cardiology on new technologies and protocols. This position reports to the Chief Nursing Officer.

Qualifications

• Current, valid New Jersey RN license.
• BSN is required; MSN or Master’s in Healthcare Administration is a plus.
• 3–5 years of clinical Cath Lab, ICU, or high-acuity CC setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily procedural schedule to maximize lab utilization and door-to-balloon times.
• Direct nursing and technical staff in cath lab procedures.
• Maintain 24/7 staffing readiness for cardiac emergencies and on-call rotation.
• Lead RN and Cardiovascular Technician recruitment and onboarding.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations and manage labor relations.
• Oversee staff competency and continuing education, ensuring certifications are current.
• Manage department budget and cost containment.
• Partner with vendors on high-cost supplies and implants.
• Collaborate with Chief of Cardiology on new technologies and protocols.
• Ensure compliance with NJ DOH and TJC surveys.
• Monitor KPIs and NCDR data.
