Job summary

Columbus Regional Health’s Cardiac Cath Lab is seeking an Invasive Radiologic Technologist. You will assist physicians in procedures, maintain sterility, operate equipment, circulate in the room, and position patients while selecting exposure parameters to image the patient.

This full-time role requires working days 7:30am–5:00pm, Monday through Friday, with weekend, holiday and on-call rotation. There is a four-person call team for evenings, weekends, and holidays, and benefits eligibility

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent required.
• Previous Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory experience preferred.
• ARRT registration and Indiana license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician during procedures and maintain sterility.
• Circulate in the procedure room and procure equipment as needed.
• Position patient and select exposure parameters to image the patient.
• Ensure proper radiation safety measures in the Cardiac Cath Lab.

Job description

What you need to know about this position:

• Recognized as one of the top 50 Cardiovascular Hospitals by IBM Watson Health, our nurses partner with cardiologists to treat heart patients and peripheral vascular disease.
• Our Cardiac Cath unit includes 3 Cath labs and 9 outpatient rooms, and our team plans for 7 cases per day.
• The Invasive Radiologic Technologist is responsible for proper radiation safety measures within the Cardiac Cath Lab.
• Assists the physician in the surgical procedure, maintaining sterility, and properly operating equipment needed for the procedure. Circulate within the procedure room and procure equipment needed for any given procedure. Position the patient, select radiation exposure parameters and image the patient.
• A Cath Lab – Invasive Radiologic Technologist in this department will have an hourly base rate of $28.21. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
• This full-time position will require you to work days, 7:30am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday, with a weekend, holiday and on-call rotation.
• This position has a call requirement to be a part of a 4-person team for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• With at least 16 hours per week, this position is benefit eligible.

What is required for this position:

• Upon hire, you must have:
  • Associate’s degree (A.A.), or equivalent from a two-year college, or hospital based school of Radiologic Technology required. Any and all must be approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
    • Previous Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory experience preferred
  • Indiana X-Ray Machine Operators License
  • Registration from American Registry of Radiologic Technology
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

This position requires frequent standing, walking, talking and listening and lifting or moving up to 50 lbs.
