Job summary

Columbus Regional Health is seeking a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Invasive Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist for Columbus, IN. The role supports a 4-person team, with a 36-hour work week, on-site shifts, and a schedule including evenings, weekends and on-call coverage as needed.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians, maintaining sterility, operating imaging equipment, and ensuring radiation safety.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college, or hospital-based school of Radiologic Technology.
• Any and all must be approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Indiana X-Ray Machine Operators License Registration from American Registry of Radiologic Technology.
• Previous Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician in the surgical procedure, maintaining sterility, and properly operating equipment needed for procedure.
• Circulate within the procedure room and procure equipment needed for any given procedure.
• Position the patient, select radiation exposure parameters and image the patient.
• Maintain radiation safety measures and shielding to minimize exposure for staff and patient.
