Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular invasive specialist to provide direct and indirect patient care in the Cardiac Cath Lab across campuses. You will scrub, monitor, and circulate for diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, while maintaining asepsis and assisting physicians.

Qualifications include specialized diplomas in cardiovascular science or radiologic technology with cardiovascular experience, plus RCIS/RCES/RT/CCT credentials within required

Qualifications

• Specialized diplomas or equivalent in cardiovascular science or radiation technology with cardiovascular experience.
• Decisive decision making in critical situations.
• Exhibits critical-thinking.
• Knowledge of current medical practice as it relates to diagnostic/interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, peripheral and structural heart procedures.
• Ability to initiate and adapt to change.
• RCIS/RCES/RT/CCT credentials required within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepares room in a timely manner with all anticipated supplies and equipment.
• Assists in positioning, prepping, and draping of the patient.
• Maintains medical/surgical asepsis.
• Performs hemodynamic monitoring during diagnostic/interventional cardiac procedures; assesses changes and responds accordingly.
• Assists and anticipates the needs of the physician.
• Demonstrates knowledge of equipment operation and care; participates in device removal and post-procedure care.
