Job summary

Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking an Interventional Tech for the Cath Lab. The role involves performing complex interventional procedures, educating patients, and ensuring equipment and documentation are up to standard.

You're required to have ARRT radiography certification with RCIS/RCES preferred, BLS, and ACLS within 90 days of hire. This full-time position offers a stable schedule and strong benefits in a busy lab setting.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiography required; CI/NIR certification preferred or must be obtained.
• Vascular Interventional Radiography (VIR) certification or experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• BLS and RCIS or RCES certification required. ACLS will be required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex invasive interventional procedures under the direction of a physician, following policies and protocols.
• Provides patient and family education and operates interventional equipment safely.
• Completes department documentation and maintains equipment and inventory for examinations.
• Maintains supply levels and participates in departmental performance improvement activities.
