Job summary
Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY, is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist to support Interventional Cardiologists, Radiologists, and Vascular Surgeons in the Cath Lab, IR, and Endovascular procedures. You will perform scrub duties, monitor, and ensure radiation safety while educating patients and families about procedures.

Qualifications
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Radiologic Technology, upon hire.
- KY Radiographer license, upon hire.
- ARRT Board certification in Radiography, upon hire.
- Certification in Bone Densitometry, upon hire.
- Certification in CT, upon hire.
- Certification in Cardio Interventional Radiography, upon hire.
- Certification in Mammography, upon hire.
- Certification in MRI, upon hire.
- Certification in Nuclear Medicine, upon hire.
- Certification in Quality Management, upon hire.
- Certification in Radiation Therapy, upon hire.
- Certification in Vascular Interventional Radiography, upon hire.
- Certification in Vascular Sonography, upon hire.
- Current CPR certification, upon hire.
- ACLS certification within 90 days.
Responsibilities
- Assist Interventional Cardiologists, Radiologists, and Vascular Surgeons in procedures.
- Operate c-arm equipment; provide radiation protection and safety.
- Prepare sterile fields; act as scrub and hemodynamic monitor.
- Maintain devices inventory and knowledge of athrectomy, IABP, IVUS, Impella, CTO, DES, DCB, OCT, thrombectomy.
- Assist with PCI/PTCA/PTA and angiograms; assist line placements and device implants.
- Demonstrate leadership in STEMI/Stroke codes; respond to emergencies.
- Educate patients and families about procedures and cardiovascular risk factors.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and report deviations to nurse leader.
