Job summary

A healthcare staffing agency in Maryland is seeking an experienced IR/Cath Lab Tech for a full-time day shift role. The position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience and includes responsibilities such as performing interventional procedures and managing pain. Certifications such as MD license, RT-R ARRT, ACLS, and BLS are necessary. The facility is Magnet certified, and scrubs are provided.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology or related field.
• Certifications required: MD license, RT-R ARRT, ACLS, BLS.
• ACLS and BLS certifications mandatory.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology or related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform interventional procedures and manage pain.
• Conduct vascular procedures including angiograms and thrombectomies.
• Recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and maintain sterile field.
• Operate equipment: Siemens systems, C-arm, Cerner; maintain sterile field.
• Assist with EKG leads, prep access sites, recognize life-threatening arrhythmias.

Overview

IR/CATH LAB TECH - 40 HRS DAY (Monday - Friday, 7:00-15:30 shifts)

Start Date: 9/9

2 Years Of Experience Required • First timers accepted: No

Certs Required: MD license, RT-R ARRT, ACLS, BLS

On Call: Call every other week Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 15:30-22:00 and Saturday 08:00-16:00

Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday

On-site: Local rate within the specified miles (see AM)

Shift: Days 7:00-15:30 • 40 hours weekly

Type of Facility: Short Term Acute Care • Magnet Certified • Scrubs Provided

Responsibilities

• Special Procedures: Interventional - tunneled catheter placements (mediports, permacaths, hickmans), embolizations, drain placements, suprapubic catheter placements, peg placements, pleurx catheter placements
• Pain management: Epidural blocks, radiofrequency ablations
• Vascular procedures: Angiograms, thrombectomies, fistulograms, IVC filters
• Skill requirements include: Interventional Radiology, PACS, Angioplasty, Embolization, IVC filter placement, Liver Biopsy, Mesenteric Angiogram, Paracentesis, Stent placement, Thoracentesis, Catheter/drain exchange, Internal/external biliary drainage, Renal Artery Stent Placement, Ureteral Stent Placement, Carotid Angiography, Discogram, Embolization, Thrombolysis/Thrombectomy, Endovascular Interventions, Central Venous Access (non-Tunneled/PICC lines)
• Equipment and workflow: Siemens systems, C-arm/portable C-arm/contrast, Cerner; Perform EKG lead placement; Prep access site; Recognize life-threatening arrhythmias; Scrub and maintain sterile field
• Other: Client/Philips Azurion C-arm/portable C-arm usage
