Job summary

Sherman Hospital in Elgin, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cath Lab and Electrophysiology. The position is day shift with an 8:00 a.m. start, part-time 24 hours per week, and IR call after 4:30 p.m.

on weekdays, plus rotational 24-hour coverage on weekends and holidays. The department performs a variety of procedures including paracentesis, thoracentesis, drain placements, biopsies, embolizations, peripheral angiograms with interventions, Y90, TIPS, central lines, and more.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program approved by the Board of Nursing.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where nursing services are provided.
• BLS certification at minimum; additional certifications may be required by specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engage in governance and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate care.
• Monitor patient conditions and adjust care plans with the care team.
• Maintain a culture of safety and accurate documentation in EHRs.
• May float to other units as needed to meet patient care needs.
