Job summary

AdventHealth in Sebring, Florida is seeking an experienced RN Charge Nurse for the cardiac/critical care team. You will support policy enforcement, staff development, and patient care coordination on a full-time day shift.

You will supervise assignments, collaborate with physicians and departments, ensure regulatory compliance, and participate in performance improvement efforts. Florida RN licensure and ACLS/BLS certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold RN license in Florida.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 1+ year cardiac cath lab/CCU or critical care experience.
• Strong knowledge of hospital policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assists the management team with policy and procedure review, enforcement, and implementation of HR policies.
• Cultivates and maintains positive relationships with physicians, patients, internal customers, physician's offices, other departments, and the community.
• Monitors documentation for compliance with regulatory rules and guidelines and other organizational policies.
• Participates in performance improvement projects and suggests opportunities for improvement.
• Assists with staff development, including new employee orientation, staff training, in-services, and developing competencies.
• Communicates with supervisor on departmental issues, including staff meeting agendas, staff competencies, progress, and physician requests and complaints.
• Assists supervisor with scheduling, patient placement, and pre/post procedures by communicating with physicians and staff.
• Demonstrates proper radiation protection measures.
• Works with team members to continually assess patient status and communicates changes to the physician.
• Makes daily patient care assignments considering specialized expertise and training needs and supervises patient care.
• Utilizes effective interpersonal skills to provide professional care delivery to patients of various ages and cultures.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required]


• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

$32.79 - $60.99
