Job summary

Waterbury Hospital in Waterbury, CT is seeking a full-time Cardiovascular Technologist to join our Cardiac Cath Lab. The technologist will assist physicians during invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures, operate imaging and monitoring equipment, and help ensure patient safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma; basic computer skills.
• 1–2 years in clinical cardiology; 2 years invasive cath lab preferred.
• RCIS or equivalent certification preferred to substitute for experience.
• BLS; sterile techniques; arrhythmia interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in PCI and diagnostic procedures.
• Operate imaging and monitoring equipment; ensure calibration.
• Collect and analyze hemodynamic data; report arrhythmias.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort; age-appropriate care.
• Document procedure records and patient information.
• Precept students/trainees and support department goals.
• Adhere to safety, radiation, and infection control.
• Participate in Quality Improvement programs.
