Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center seeks a Cardiovascular Tech RCIS to support invasive cardiovascular procedures under physician and supervisor direction. You will monitor rhythm, operate imaging equipment, and assist in scrub and circulator roles in the cath lab.

Requirements include an allied health degree, current ACLS, RCIS within six months, and ARRT/TX RT(R) if RCIS is not held. The position schedules 7:00–5:30 with some variability based on procedures.

Qualifications

• Requires ACLS certification.
• RCIS certification due within six months of hire.
• ARRT and TX RT(R) are acceptable in lieu of RCIS.
• Licenses and/or Certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Assists physician as a monitor tech during cath lab procedures; interprets basic and advanced dysrhythmia and EKGs, and operates physiologic recorder.
• Assists physician with procedures as a scrub tech and operates imaging equipment under physician direction.
• Assists with diagnostic procedures as a circulator; monitors patient status during procedures and handles supplies.
• Transports patients to and from the department.
• Cleans and stocks cath lab and manages inventory.

Education

Associate or Bachelor’s degree, science emphasis or commensurate healthcare experience

Licenses and/or Certifications (Required)

Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardio Life Support certification

RCIS certified within six months of date of hire

ARRT and TX RT(R) required in lieu of RCIS
