Job summary

MedStar Health's Franklin Square Hospital is seeking a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist to assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures, coordinate patient care, and maintain Cath Lab equipment.

This hands-on role requires RCIS certification, completion of a 2-year Cardiovascular Technologist program, and CPR within 90 days of hire; contribute to patient safety and high-quality outcomes in a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Two-year Cardiovascular Technologist training completed.
• RCIS certification by CCI required.
• CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in angiographic, therapeutic, and interventional imaging procedures.
• Prepare and inject contrast media; support catheter and guide wire placement.
• Conduct hemodynamic monitoring and record vital signs.
• Educate patients and provide discharge instructions.
• Ensure Cath Lab equipment functions properly and manage supplies.
