Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate and implement patient care on the assigned unit in Santa Fe, NM. The RN ensures high quality care is delivered safely and efficiently, collaborating with staff, physicians and families to uphold the unit’s standards.

Responsibilities include obtaining and recording initial assessments, prioritizing care by patient needs, developing measurable plans of care, and participating in education and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing.
• Current NM RN license or Compact state license; BLS certification required or within 2 weeks of hire date; other certifications within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record initial assessment and establish priorities according to patient age, symptoms and psychosocial needs.
• Re-assess patients to identify progress and needs requiring intervention.
• Develop and implement a measurable individualized plan of care within Nursing Standards of Care.
• Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on evaluations and modify the plan of care.
• Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning.
• Perform and document timely interventions appropriate to patient needs.
• Evaluate the plan of care.
• Perform Point of Care testing procedures.
