The King's School, Chester is seeking a Catering Supervisor to oversee the daily catering operation, delivering high-quality food service to pupils, staff and guests. You will lead a team, ensure hygiene and safety standards, and support school events with a friendly hospitality approach.

Term-time only, 5 days a week, with meals on duty and flexible working options. Salary is £13.30 per hour, reflecting your experience and commitment to outstanding service at this historic independent school.

• Experience in hospitality, catering or events.

Responsabilités

• Supervise the day-to-day catering operation, ensuring excellent food service and customer satisfaction.
• Lead, motivate and support the catering team to deliver high standards at all times.
• Work closely with the General Catering Manager and Head Chef to ensure smooth daily services and events.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, health and safety, allergen management and cleanliness.
• Deliver a warm, welcoming hospitality experience for pupils, staff, visitors and guests.
• Support the planning and delivery of school functions, conferences and hospitality events.
• Promote teamwork, provide on-the-job training and encourage continuous improvement across the catering team.

• Has previous experience in hospitality, catering or events.

• Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing priorities.
• Has a good understanding of food hygiene, allergen awareness and health & safety.
• Is flexible to work occasional evenings and weekends in support of school events.
• Experience within an education or independent school environment and a Level 2 Food Safety Certificate would be advantageous but are not essential.
