Job summary

Rocky Top Catering is seeking an experienced Catering Sous Chef to lead a fast-paced kitchen and staff, delivering high-quality food for events ranging from intimate gatherings to 7,000+ guests.

You will work with the Executive Chef to plan menus, oversee prep, and ensure safety and cost control. ServSafe certification is required; reliable transportation is essential; evenings and weekends are expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Sous Chef, preferably in catering or high-volume environments.
• Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop kitchen staff.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation, development, and execution of menus.
• Plan and execute catered events from 10 to 7,000+ guests.
• Ensure food quality, flavor, presentation, and portion control.
