Job summary

City of Hope is seeking a catering assistant to organize, set up, and deliver requested catering services to designated locations. You will provide prompt and courteous service, review orders, coordinate preparation, and ensure professional presentation from setup to cleanup.

The successful candidate will have a High School diploma or GED, 0–1 year experience, and a California CDL Class C license. Training on safety, allergy protocols, and inventory may be provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 1 years of related work experience.
• Current CDL Class C State (CA) Driver’s License.
• Preferably: Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and cash-handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill catering order requests and review the catering website for services, dates and times.
• Coordinate delivery, setup non-perishable items, and service ware.
• Deliver food and beverages in a professional manner with menu recommendations.
• Ensure cleanup and proper return of specialty linens, china and rentals.
• Maintain daily/weekly service organization and customer communications.
• Assist with stocking inventory and general food-prep tasks.
• Attend safety trainings and report accidents per policy.
