Role Overview

The Catering Manager reports to the Director of Sales & Marketing. This role requires creating memorable experiences and supporting catering sales efforts through various strategies to meet revenue goals. Responsibilities include preparing sales contracts, coordinating event details, building client relationships, and generating new business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop catering sales strategies to maximize revenue.
  • Coordinate all aspects of events, including space, equipment, menus, and billing.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and hotel staff.
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in community events and monitor competitors to stay competitive.
  • Educate clients on hotel services and coordinate event details on banquet event orders.
  • Lead and mentor sales team members, demonstrating best practices and fostering collaboration.
  • Make data-driven decisions supporting sales goals and budgets.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of hospitality catering sales experience in a boutique or luxury hotel.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent experience.
  • Flexible to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Proficiency in English; Delphi FDC system knowledge preferred.
