The Catering Service Manager (CSM) is the Department Leader for the service side of the catering operation. The CSM will lead a team of supervisors, servers, bartenders, event chefs, and other service roles to execute the events as detailed in the Special Event Order (SEO).

- Provides employee feedback and assists with performance evaluation
- Sets and maintains expectations for all service staff members
- Provide performance feedback to service team members and report any pertinent feedback to Director of Operations

- Training materials and methods
- Creates and develops training materials
- Reviews and revises SET training manuals, by position and reintroduces to the current team as well as new team members
- Creates brochures, develops multimedia visual aids, and creates training presentations
- Evaluates company needs and plans training programs accordingly

- Supervises and conducts functional on-the-job training for new and tenured staff

- Educates service team on new service styles

- Schedule / Oversee Scheduling
- Schedule service team in Nowsta, based on labor sold per event
- Create and adhere to event-based budgets for the service team
- Develop strategic plans to manage labor by empowering Supervisors to make staffing cuts based on event need
- Payroll Approvals
- Review and approve all staff hours and adhere to scheduling hours within allocated labor limits

- Attend weekly Production Meetings to discuss upcoming events
- Review staffing needs based on Sales recommendations for events
- Review/create logistical plans and steps of service for special events
- Schedule meetings with Supervisors and Lead Event Chefs to discuss logistical plans and steps of service when warranted
- Communicates event staff to Special Event Planners
- Distributes SEOs to Supervisors and Lead Event Chefs
- Event Load Outs
- Regularly provides support and guidance for the service team during event load outs
- Attend/Oversee
- Visit key events to check in with the service team, observe, and train

- Communication between Client/Sales/Supervisor and Lead

- Builds and maintains solid interdepartmental communication
- Partners with HR to assure staff is prepared for daily needs
- Develops action plans based on observations, customer survey results, and customer feedback
- Assists with the development of strategic plans and implementation of company policies
- Adhere to, monitor, and enforce all company policies and procedures
- Training, coaching, motivating, and disciplining staff; documenting as needed
- Provides feedback for the Operations and Sales teams
- Ensure service needs are being met
- Performs additional supervisory duties as necessary

- Exhibits professionalism in speaking with employees, peers, and management
- Interact with clients, guests, and other vendors to provide friendly and superior service

- May be indoor or outdoor setting
- Varied weather conditions are expected
- Varying schedule to include holidays, weekdays, weekends, and extended hours based on the needs of the business
- Ability to regularly lift, move, and carry up to 50lbs. Daily workload may include the unloading/loading of necessary equipment for events as needed.
- Be able to pass background check
- Speak English fluently and be able to write basic English
- Reliable transportation to and from locations throughout Central Florida
- Must work well in teams, as well as alone, and be able to work with minimal supervision
- Have a clear understanding of state and company regulations when serving alcohol
- T.I.P.S certified a plus, or able to obtain within 60 days of application
- Serve Safe certification
