Job summary

Delaware North’s Patina Group is hiring a full-time Catering Server at Hudson Yards in New York, NY. You will provide outstanding customer service while serving food and beverages in a banquet setting, ensuring guests’ needs are met in a positive, efficient, and courteous manner.

The position offers weekly pay and a benefits package including health/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid vacation days, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Minimum of 3 months’ experience in food and beverage service preferred.
• Excellent guest service skills.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, including listening and taking orders.
• No high school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Sets up tables for function in accordance with banquet event order.
• Transports food and beverages to guests in a timely manner.
• Takes and fills drink orders, provides refills, answers questions, clears dirty dishes.
• Serves alcoholic beverages responsibly, checks IDs and follows policies.
• Monitors guest needs and resolves guest complaints promptly.
• Replenishes food on buffet lines when applicable.
• Maintains a safe and clean environment for guests and team members.
• Breaks down event according to company procedures.

Delaware North’s Patina Group is hiring a full-time Catering Server to join our team at Hudson Yards in New York, New York. As a Catering Server you will provide outstanding customer service while serving food and beverage products in a banquet setting, ensuring that Hudson Yards guests’ needs are being met in a positive, efficient, and courteous manner.The ideal Catering Server candidate will be friendly, positive and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Pay

$20.00 – $22.00 / hour

What will you do?

• Sets up tables for function in accordance with banquet event order
• Accurately transports food and beverages to guests in a timely manner
• Performs necessary tasks to service guests including: taking and filling drink orders, providing refills, answering questions, and clearing of dirty dishes
• Serves alcoholic beverages responsibly, requests identification, adheres to all unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures.
• Monitors guest needs on a continual basis ensuring all requests are promptly fulfilled; handles any guest complaints
• Replenishes food on buffet lines (if applicable)
• Maintains a safe and clean environment for guests and fellow team members
• Breaks down event according to company procedures

More about you

• Must be 18 or older
• Minimum of 3 months’ previous experience in food and beverage service preferred
• Excellent guest service skills
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills, including listening skills and ability to take food and beverage orders and fill those orders correctly
• No high school diploma or GED required

Physical requirements

• Ability to stand or walk, including up and down stairs, for entire length of shift
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
• Mobility to maneuver between tables
