Join our dynamic team at the iconic Palmer House, a Hilton Hotel, in Chicago. We are seeking a Catering Manager to coordinate and execute corporate and social events for our property. Responsibilities:
- Manage the execution of written sales agreements for events with up to 250 guests.
- Coordinate between customers and hotel departments during event planning and execution.
- Maximize revenue and control costs through negotiation and accurate forecasting.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty through successful event execution.
- Supervise catering logistics and coordinate with relevant departments and team members.
- Guide Operations Managers to ensure events are executed as planned.
- Design menus and events creatively to enhance revenue and guest experience.
- Prepare and present catering forecasts and reports to the Director of Catering.
- Plan and execute corporate, wedding, and social events from 2 to 250 guests in collaboration with the Director of Catering.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of catering or event planning experience.
- Flexible scheduling based on group business needs.
- Experience with weddings and knowledge of Kosher or Southeast Asian cuisines preferred.
Compensation:
$28.84 per hour, depending on experience and location.
