Job summary

Great Western Dining Service, Inc in Garden City, Kansas, is seeking a Catering Manager to schedule, process, prepare and deliver orders for clients, and to provide prompt courteous service that exceeds expectations during events.

You will lead setup and breakdown, coordinate with college staff, and serve as the main point of contact while ensuring safety and sanitation compliance and pursuing additional business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous catering management or event coordination experience.
• Strong customer service and organizational skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours and weekends as needed.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing food items for caterings as needed.
• Providing excellent customer service by following up with customers after an order.
• Work with staff to ensure high quality food and service is provided.
• Set up and break down catering events.
• Promptly follows up on all customer calls and requests in an efficient and expedient manner.
• Works closely with college staff to uncover and pursue additional business.
• Utilizes Outlook Calendar as well as other online resources to maximize organization, game plan and follow up.
• Serve as main point of contact during events
• Complies with all safety and sanitation policies
• Other duties as assigned

Catering Manager

Great Western Dining Service, Inc at Garden City Community College in Garden City, Kansas is seeking and experienced Catering Manager. The Catering Manager is expected to schedule, process, prepare and deliver orders to the client. Provide prompt courteous service that exceeds the customers expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing food items for caterings as needed
