Job summary

Panera Bread is seeking a Catering Lead in Manassas, VA to oversee catering orders and ensure memorable guest experiences with friendly service and proactive follow-ups. The role requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to lift 25–50 pounds.

You will deliver orders to events, maintain food safety standards, and promote Panera Catering to local schools and businesses while supporting the team and Managers.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18
• Basic food safety understanding and training (Food Handler's Card, as required by law)
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-starter with limited supervision
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Own vehicle for delivering orders and acceptable driving record
• Flexible hours including nights and weekends in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift 25–50 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for up to 3 hours
• Must be able to understand guests and associates in loud environments

Responsibilities

• Manage and produce catering orders for guests
• Provide warm, friendly service with proactive follow-ups to ensure guest satisfaction
• Deliver orders to guests' events
• Adhere to health and food safety standards
• Maintain Panera's standards for craveable food quality
• Promote Panera Catering to local businesses, schools and events
• Support Managers and Team Members as needed
• Contribute to a culture of warmth, belonging, growth, and trust
