Job summary

Five Star Breaktime Solutions is seeking a friendly Catering Lead to join our Dining Services team in Albany, GA. The role involves leading catering events, food preparation, serving guests, and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/ GED and 1 year food service experience.
• Must consent to a drug screen and pre-employment background check.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide food prep, cooking, delivery, set up, serving, breakdown and cleaning for Catering Events both on and off premises.
• Serves as the catering leader, providing direction and support to dining associates.
• Responsible for preparing hot and cold items for service according to established recipes and standards.
• Complies with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies and procedures.
• Samples, smells, and observe food to ensure conformance to recipes and standards of appearance and taste.
• Maintains a sanitary workstation, including sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing.
• Selects and uses knives, hand tools, utensils, and equipment to portion, cut, slice, mash, puree, whip, beat, roll, stuff, maintain holding temperature, cook or otherwise produce food in the assigned station.
• Assists during service.
• Put-up truck orders and stock deliveries.
• No trash to remove as needed.
• Performs cashier duties as needed, including restocking coolers, condiments, etc.
